$35,000 a day holiday rental

Feeling the need to splash out on something special for your holidays? How about this 14 bathroom, 31000 square foot castle in the state of New York? With 19 bathrooms, 11.5 acres of land, private theatre, skateboard half pipe, bowling alley, rockclimbing wall, full spa including jacuzzi, heated swimming pool with underwater sound system, plus your usual tennis court, squash court and so on. How much for all this luxury? A bargain at $35,000 a day, or $500,000 a week.

But who would pay this much for a holiday rental, when 2 weeks here would be enough to buy a luxury house, and one day is enough for a deposit on a standard family home? Stupidly rich people, that`s who. Are we jealous? Not at all! You are better off checking out some slightly more sensible Barcelona property or holiday apartments in Barcelona if you don´t want your bank manager breathing down your neck for the rest of your life.
