Born area, part of the old town, located on the right side of the street Via Laetana. This is a very popular tourist destination. As well as being a visually beautiful district, and a safe one, it’s an area where visitors can immerse themselves in culture at one of Barcelona’s most visited attractions, the Picasso Museum.

El Born is a place where you can enjoy both a city break and beach holiday rolled into one. It is ideally located to reach the surrounding districts either on foot or by metro with the main street Las Ramblas and the Gothic Quarter just a ten minute walk away. Ten minutes in the other direction is Barcelona’s seafront and beaches. It’s location means the area is quieter than the more central districts and so perfect for families and couples. A younger crowd can still party the night away if they choose; the clubs and bars are more sophisticated in El Born and less rowdy than they are along the infamous Las Ramblas.

The Born area usually used for rent apartments , which are in the Catalan style - with exposed brick walls and vaulted ceilings. There are really a lot of old housing, but in recent years the building intensively restored. Infrastructure of the area and the public transportation system developed is excellent and close to the beaches of Barceloneta and the Olympic Village.
